  1. IBM DualStor Tape Backup Demonstration Programs Version 2

  4. The IBM DualStor* Backup Program for DOS and Windows Version 2.0
  5. and the IBM DualStor Backup Program for OS/2 Version 2.0 provide the user with
  6. an easy-to-use application utility to backup and restore data from large
  7. capacity fixed disks on network file servers and stand-alone systems.
  8. These programs are perfect for individual or network file server backup
  9. and now support the SONY** QIC-WIDE** 5122XL and 3M** 2120XL data
  10. cartridges.  Customers who currently use earlier versions of these two
  11. DualStor programs can take advantage of the increased function
  12. supporting the new longer length tape cartridges and the new IBM
  13. DualStor 450 Internal Tape Backup Unit by upgrading to Version 2.0.

  15. Both programs are also available in Convenience Kit offerings.  The kits
  16. include the appropriate program with the IBM DualStor 450 Internal Tape
  17. Backup Unit and a pre-formatted data cartridge.

  19. The following demonstration programs are now available:

  21.         DUALOS2.EXE      DualStor for OS/2 V2.0 (Demo)
  22.         DUALWIN.EXE      DualStor for Windows V2.0 (Demo)
  23.         DUALDOS.EXE      DualStor for DOS V2.0 (Demo)

  25. All files are self extracting ZIP files and can be downloaded to your PC.
  26. The install program and related files can be unpacked onto diskette by
  27. entering the following at your command prompt:

  29.         C:\>DUALXXX a:
  30.  
  31. where DUALXXX is the name of the appropriate self extracting file and
  32. a: is the target drive.  At this point, please read the README.TXT file
  33. on the diskette for installation instructions.

  35. Please note that the Demo programs DO NOT include the restore function
  36. which is included in the full DualStor program.  These programs are
  37. intended to be used for demonstration purposes only.

  41. the Demo install diskette.
